I met comic artist Ted Helard the other in a cafe the other day. I was trying to draw people sitting in the cafe and happened to see a man drawing across the room from me. I got up and went over to him to ask if he'd like to draw with me (just because I don't meet many people on the fly who are drawing in public, and i like drawing with other people) but upon seeing his drawings, asking what he was doing, he introduced himself to me and told me how he's drawn for Marvel before, and is trying working on some more cmic pages for them that he was hoping they'd accept. Woo!!! Excited--- A friend of mine bought me a digital drawing tablet  : )   (but wait... now I'm obligated to spend around the same amount of money's worth on something for them, right? Oh diplomacy!)

Wow, I'm excited! One of my friends bought me a drawing tablet a little over a week ago. This last week I was really busy with my new job, so I've only messed around with it like twice now. I also haven't been drawing as much lately because of all this busy-ness! --oh no!--  I've made a resolution to draw -at least- one sketch, if not a more complete drawing/ painting, every day. Just to stay on top of things. Last night I fouund myself drawing until 5 a.m. this morning because it's finally my weekend and I was able to sleep in this morning. It felt so good to draw again! Now, back to my [black] coffee and music induced drawing spree!  ; )
